About Me
I COACH TEAMS TO SHIP USER VALUE BASED ON RESEARCH, EMPATHY AND STRATEGIC PRODUCT THINKING.
I began my career in business research, then went to film school and worked as a cinematographer for several years. When I discovered UX design I found it combined my interests: storytelling, understanding people and what's meaningful to them, using creative and technical craft to solve problems, and working with others to make good things.
I’ve designed for data and IT platforms, financial instruments and eCommerce. I’ve built a design team at a growth-stage startup and managed a team in an org with hundreds of designers. Most recently I led UX for Shopify’s analytics platform and shipped a ground-up redesign of the BI and data visualization tools used by Shopify’s merchants every day
Outside of work I read, travel, cook (a little obsessively) and foster dogs.
